Get Involved with our Adult Sunday School Center Pointe Church has three Adult Sunday school classes that meet on a weekly basis New Testament ClassLed by Mic Michilizzi the group meets in the fellowship hall for a New Testament read-through and discussion, beginning promptly at 9 a.m. During these sessions, we dive into the scriptures of the New Testament, carefully reading through the text and engaging in thoughtful conversations about its meaning and relevance. The fellowship hall provides a welcoming space for us to come together, share insights, and deepen our understanding of the teachings and events described, making it an enriching experience for all who participate. Subject Based ClassLed by Brad Davis the group gathers at 9:15 in the first trailer, where we begin by engaging in a few minutes of casual conversation to connect with one another. Following this, we open the floor for prayer requests, creating a space for shared support and reflection. Each week, our class focuses on a specific topic, which we explore through discussions and by reading Bible verses that directly relate to the subject at hand. For instance, we’ve systematically worked through the Ten Commandments, dedicating a week to each one, and we’ve also examined various aspects of Jesus’ life. To enrich our understanding, I make an effort to find videos that tie into the week’s theme, ensuring that while the approach may vary, the experience remains consistently engaging and informative. Old Testament Based ClassLed by Ken Hales the 9:30 study class meets in the second trailer and centers its attention on exploring the Old Testament, offering participants a deep dive into its teachings and narratives. Throughout the sessions, we engage in reading and thoughtful discussions, which allow us to gain a clearer understanding of what life was like during those ancient times and to discern the messages that God conveys through the text. To enhance our learning experience and aid in retaining the information covered, the class provides helpful resources such as maps and other materials, ensuring that we can visualize and connect with the historical and spiritual context of the scriptures we study.
