Meet the leadership of Center Pointe Global Methodist Church
Mike Devine – Pastor
Pastor Mike Devine feels deeply fortunate to serve at Center Pointe, bringing with him a rich and diverse background that shapes his ministry. Originally hailing from California, Mike is a recovering individual who enjoys playing the guitar and has lived a life filled with unique experiences. Married to Kit since 1992, he carries a strong sense of purpose in his work, guided by the theme #BeYou4Him, which reflects his belief that every person is uniquely created to embrace their authentic selves—utilizing their individual gifts, graces, and talents—to glorify God. Passionate about the transformative power of God’s love, Mike shares this message as a catalyst for change wherever his journey takes him.
Blane Spence – Pastor Emeritus
Blane received his call to ministry in the mid-1980s. However, he continued to work in the secular world and raise his family. He did, however, serve in various leadership positions in the churches he attended.
In the early 1990s, he began to minister as an evangelist, to the homeless on the streets of Atlanta, at the Atlanta Union Mission, at the Potter’s House addiction recovery center, and at various churches.
In November 2008, God opened the door for Blane to serve as pastor of Center. He did this while still working full time at Cisco (formerly Scientific Atlanta) as a Cable TV technical support engineer. After 34 years of employment, he was able to take early retirement in July 2011.
Blane has two degrees in biblical studies and theology: an Associate of Arts from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science from North Central University. In 2019, he completed the Methodist Church’s Course of Study program.
Blane has been married to Angela since October 1975. They have a son and daughter and three grandsons. In his spare time, Blane enjoys spending time with his family, as well as boating and fishing. He also served in the US Navy.
